/Hello! While working on Ancestry Awakened, I took a break to work on some more yu-gi-oh designs for 5e. Here’s the continuation of the monsters from the yu-gi deck!

When I was a kid, I loved the cards from Yu-Gi-Oh. The artwork was full of cool, interesting looking creatures and monsters. There wasn’t much info on the cards either, so my imagination was free to make up stuff on its own.
After playing Lancer lately, I’ve been rethinking how I design monsters. Simple monsters work as mooks, but having a role in combat is more fun. So instead of creating basic stat blocks, I’m trying out more experimental mechanics for monsters. And Yu-Gi-Oh cards seemed like a good source of inspiration.
So here are some new 5e statblocks, based on Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
